Yu-Gi-Oh! Art Show Recap

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Tribute Art Show was held at Gallery 1988 and was open from July 5th-14th. The show featured over 50 artists debuting work inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh!. Six different screenprint designs were available for sale. Each was numbered and limited to 100.

Los Angeles’ Gallery1988 teamed up with Konami Cross Media NY, to honor the international cultural phenomenon that is Yu-Gi-Oh!. To celebrate over 20 years of entertaining fans worldwide, some of the gallery’s most popular artists were commissioned to create artwork inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh!’s colorful and iconic characters.

Opening on the same weekend as the nearby Anime Expo, both one-of-a-kind pieces and prints had been created, inspired by the work of Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi, and they all debuted at the exhibit’s opening reception on July 4th, 2019.

In addition to the traditional artwork, a once-in-a-lifetime installation from Pretty In Plastic was also displayed at G1988, creating a must-see for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans, new or old.

Thanks to everyone that attended the show!
